Plan Your Project

Every kitchen begins with a vision - with a sense of the possibilities. At Cabinet Studio, we work with you to explore these possibilities to create a space that is the perfect blend of function, style and beauty.

1. Start Collecting Your Ideas

Collect photos and articles of design ideas that you like from magazines or catalogs - anything from the smallest design details to entire rooms. Ask friends for referrals to ensure the designer you select will be a good fit with your personal style. Begin to establish a budget that you are comfortable with.

For renovation, if possible take a photo or draw a rough sketch of your existing floor plan. If building a new home, get a copy of the floor plans from the builder.

Call Cabinet Studio to make an appointment, or stop by any weekday between 9:00am and 5:00 pm.

2. Sharing Your Ideas

Our first meeting can be in our showroom or in your home. During that meeting we will do the following:

Ask lots of questions
We will want to know all about your ideas and vision for the spaces you are planning. We have a short questionnaire that we will use to make sure we understand what is important to you, and how you will be using the space.

Understand your style

 - Begin to understand your design style (this is where the photos are helpful)
 - Discuss your preliminary budget for the project
 - Begin to provide you with information on the different products available
 - Answer any questions you may have

3. Creating Your Unique Design

We will take all your ideas and input and create a design that marries creative imagination with function and space planning requirements. Our expert CAD specialist will give you a variety of perspectives to help you visualize the design.

We will refine the design with your input until every last detail has been carefully considered and planned, including the cost of the project. Once the design has your final approval, we will request a deposit and proceed with placing the order with the chosen cabinet manufacturer

4. Professional Installation

The lead time from our cabinet suppliers is typically four to six weeks from date of confirmed order. We will coordinate and schedule your installation with you in advance of your cabinets arriving in our warehouse.

Your designer will work closely with one of our highly skilled installation technicians throughout the installation process. Together they are a team that has many years of experience in making sure the job is done correctly. Importantly, our installers provide ongoing service after the original installation.
